Scheduled 4 setup appointments that ALL got rescheduled until they finally showed up on the 5th appointment just to tell us they couldn’t hook us up because of something to do with the outside lines. We thought we hated Cox and decided to try switching to CenturyLink. Literally the worst company I’ve every dealt with in my life! That’s saying quite a lot with today’s low standard bar for customer support. They took an unnecessary amount of money from us and didn’t care one bit. This is a horrible company and the services are not even that great. Well guess what I didn’t instead they back dated my last bill to 11/30 and put it as past due, even though I already paid my 12/1 because thats when my last bill was due, so now I owe a late fee. Lastly upon moving I disconnected my services and they told me I would receive a bill for my remaining balance. So I set up a payment plan with someone, however they continued to charge me late fees since my bill wasn’t paid in full. They said there was nothing they could do however they will make sure that the lady gets in trouble. I contacted the management and they apologized for the confusion, I also showed them emails where the lady told me I would not be charged an activation fee. On my first bill I was charged a $300 activation fee. Multiple times I was told I would not receive an activation fee and/ or transfer fee. I contacted Centurylink to switch from Time Warner because they had to new prism coming out. Not that you want to catch flies-but how about a deal on your internet service? If a promise is made, a refund is issued, or a price is confirmed, ask for an email detailing everything. That way, you don’t put your life on hold while your call is on hold. Email, use live chat, or check social media instead.
Or, if you end up having to call customer service, take a quick look at these tips to make your experience at least a teensy bit better: If your internet is on the fritz, check out our guide on what to do if your CenturyLink internet isn’t working. Installation issues like this can be a real pain, just like outages and slow internet speeds. Even then, her family didn’t have internet for six days. Candice finally managed to get her installation date rescheduled, but only after she talked to multiple people. She called customer service and CenturyLink ended up telling her that someone canceled her appointment. One customer, Candice, told us her CenturyLink technician never showed up on the day her installation was scheduled. We talked to a handful of CenturyLink customers that we know, and almost all of them said they’ve had bad experiences with its customer service department. But a number doesn’t tell the whole story.
